Geraldine Agoot: Employee of the Month

Going beyond the call of duty, being polite and friendly at all times, and being loyal to the company–these traits have set Geraldine in good stead in the workplace, and made her eligible for the recognition.

At 26, Geraldine has demonstrated maturity and dedication way beyond her age. She has consistently put in a stellar performance since day one. She gets the job done on time, and above her employer’s expectations. Her colleagues like being around her because she’s cordial and accommodating. She has a sweet voice that complements her kind demeanor. And she talks about her employer with good grace. She shared that she is constantly challenged to accomplish new tasks under time constraints, but she feels the strong support from her colleagues, and feels fortunate to work in an environment where encouragement and teamwork thrive.

Geraldine is Care Indeed’s Scheduling Coordinator. Since she joined the company last April, she has helped foster a positive, productive climate in the office. Highly trained to do administrative and clerical duties, she takes an active part in recruitment, staffing cases, and marketing support. Five days a week, she answers the phone, performs data entry, calls and screens applicants, schedules interviews, interviews applicants, and does reference and background checks of applicants. She efficiently assists with staffing cases; she sends profiles of caregivers to clients and families, and provides assistance as needed. If the company has marketing events on the weekends, she helps out.

Helping others has been Geraldine’s strength and passion. Prior to joining Care Indeed, she had worked as a Student Assistant and as an Advanced Program Tutor. She provided positive reinforcement to students and their accomplishments. As Lead Instructor in a focus day program, she aided clients with developmental and mental disabilities with activities of daily living, and facilitated group activities such as music to stimulate their creativity and mental function. She had also worked as a Student Assistant and as a Chiropractic Assistant.

Geraldine comes from a close-knit family with whom she spends most of her free time. When she’s not working, they do activities together like going to church or fishing. And she enjoys cooking for them.

We asked Geraldine how she manages to stay focused and productive. She replied that she tries to be on top of things, and she does not procrastinate. She is very organized, and she seeks help when she needs it. She’d like to grow with the company, and she knows that she’s in this job for the long haul. Geraldine has a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Science, Minor in Pyschology.
